Ive been bow fishing since i turned 18 about 3 years ago and all that time i have been using a mathews sportsman. Its a great bow but now that I'm starting to get pretty serious about it i would like to go ahead and step up to an oneida osprey. Are there any major problems with these bows that i might need to look out for if buying used? i saw an oneida strike eagle bow on ebay for 300 bucks and the draw weight is 35 to 55 which is perfect, what is the difference between the strike eagle and the osprey? Would it make more sense just to spend the 800 and buy a new osprey?

well, i own 3 oneidas and they are all good bows. i have a strike eagle, tomcat ll, and a lfm. the good thing about oneidas is that you can release before reaching full draw. which comes in handy in a snap shooting senario. a strike eagle is going to be way cheaper than an osprey. you can probably pick up a strike eagle on ebay for $300, and an osprey will cost yoy $750. my advice is start low and see what you like; you can always spend more.
