Truck tires least prone to cracking?

I currently use my truck only for going to the lease, towing/hauling, and when it rains bad enough to flood so for the last 4 years I have been averaging 3-4k miles per year of use. Previous to that, it was my everyday vehicle. The truck is a 500hp Dodge diesel and I will be putting on 315/75R16's in preferably a mud terrain. I currently have Nitto Terra Grapplers which have been a great tire but they are starting to crack between the treads and I want something a little more aggressive this time. I am going to need new tires soon and since they will be on there for awhile I am looking for tires that are less prone to hardening/cracking. Any suggestions?

They all crack over a period of years, what does the HP have to do with anything?

I think keeping the sun off of them will do more good than anything.

Most of the time the little hair line cracks are in the outer ply only and won't hurt anything most tires get them after 6 months or so I just took off a set of the terra grapplers that had 83,000 on them and put a new set right back on

I have gotten almost 60K miles on my Nitto Trail Grabblers M/T. They have had no issues with cracking or things like that. But if you are letting it sit for a good while i would always try and remember to go spray them down every now and again with the wheel shine stuff or whatever to keep them wet

That's why they sell covers for camper / rv , and spare tires. Look at the factory spare under ur truck. How old is it and is it cracked? Ide look at my own but I don't really care enough to crawl under there.

I switched to Toyo MT's. They have a great factory warranty and are US made as far as I know. They should replace them if they crack. More money than Nitto's but worth it in my opinion.

Get the tire covers from a camping supply store. Also saves the valve stems.
