I'm a Life-Member UH Coog...…But it looks like I will have to be a “Temporary” Longhorn for the next 4 years
. The twins have decided to attend The University of Texas at Austin this Fall versus Texas A&M or my alma mater, UH. We had our Senoir Academic College Signing Day at school last week and they made it official. It was great (but nerve-wrecking at times) to have the "college options" but I just let them make their own choices. Felicia and I couldn’t be more proud of them for what they’ve done academically and on the basketball court too. But in the end, it’s the academic route that they will pursue and man did it pay off for them big time last week! They have been awarded two major scholarships that will give them nearly a full "academic" ride. What a blessing...and I told them all of the hard work has paid off. As you can see in the pic below, they wasted no time in "representing" their new school
. It's an exciting time for them but also "bitter sweet" for me in that I feel like I'm losing my best buds this Fall. Although we enjoyed everyday of the past 18 years, man I wish I could turn back that clock
. Well, many thanks for the advice that alot of you have given me over the past few months and keep us in your prayers that the next 4 years are as good as the past ones.
