    Question for the backyard Gardeners

Decided I would try my hand at gardening this year. Planted tomatoes, squash, peppers, canteloups cukes and eggplant.

My tomatoes are starting to ripen and it seems there is a little white bug getting to the tomatoe right as it ripens.

What do you guys use for pest control so that you can still eat the fruits/veggies?

    Thanks!

I have used seven dust in the past. Any year I have had to use any pesticides I make sure a wash all my veggies really good after I pick them.

I take it this is something I can pick up at Home Depot/Lowes or should I go to tractor supply/feed store?

you can get it at any of those places. It comes in spray or powder. 7 Dust or Seven is the name of it. If you want to use somthing organic you can mix dish washing soap and water and spay on them also. 1 part soap and 4 parts water. it will smother insects, but you will need to spay it more often than the 7.
The 7 will wash off just like bassmatt said.
