I'm a new coach to indoor soccer, and registered for a team because we have a lot of fun in our outdoor league, are competitive and the parents want something to be involved with over the summer. I just sent in registration and got sent back a response about the kids needing a player card. It's 14 bucks a kid, which seems kinda ridiculous...any soccer gurus on here that can help inform me what this is?

Soccer Player Cards?

Most leagues require player cards, and are usually good for a year or the entire season. The refs verify them before each game and it helps to ensure that you aren't playing kids that aren't a rostered player or regular member, with the exception of the occasional guest player. My son had to have a new one each year when he played for the Texans. Hope this helps, and I'm sure someone else will chime in with better info for you.
