I built a pop-up platform to shoot into my feed pen, so the floor needed to be 4' off the ground.
Opted for 10' 4x4 posts, which extended 6' above the platform and allowed me to frame out a roof, which kept me shaded early season and kept pop-up from collapsing in harsh weather.
Also, I draped camo netting over the entire thing, the blind stayed out year round.
After originally building a small ladder, I upgraded by adding stairs.
Stairs made entry much easier.
Shot my first two Pope and Young's out of it, they are deadly.
Sorry for the crappy picture, I made this thing about 8 years ago.
Good luck.
