What I can't stand... is when the news sets up and films folks driving into something they know that they shouldn't... just so they can get the shot. I watched a reporter setup and watch time after time and he was just standing there with it happening 10 yards behind him.

What normal people do, when they have time on thier hands to sit in the rain... is go and make sure people don't chance their lives.

What a out when they set up on an icy slanted side walk and wait for person after person busting their donkey. however he did have a point it's not like they don't know ice is slippery

I can blame the media for a lot of stuff, but making sure dumbarses don't act/drive like dumbarses isn't one of them.

We definately live in a "watch this!!!" society. Where we don't bat an eye when somebody films something bad happening to somebody and we don't even consider that the person holding the camera could have easily stepped in and done something about it.

Not everybody is a hero, I get that, but it would have been easy enough to have tried and warn folks and then film if they don't heed the warning. This was a clear case of a guy standing there watching a car driving down the road towards some deep water and he says "oh... here comes another one and he just steps aside and watches the car drive into the water... and practically drowning as she is trying to get out of her car that is then sinking. The reporter didn't even bother yelling or waving or anything... just sat there with a "watch this" mentality.

It's another thing to report from a helicopter and you can't do anything to save somebody but to call authorities.

Yeah, this stuff needs to be dropping several hundered miles upstream at this point.

5" is nice catchup to our deficit. 5" overnight does no good

Ain't deficit at my house. The ground was soaked before this rain started and the lake is full.

you guys stop complaining. I would glady trade you your 5" deficit for our 41" deficit . Our lake is at 23% capacity.

Bush Park on Old Westheimer, gun range not flooded but will be under water if it keeps raining. Quite a few deer will be drowning if it keeps up. Saw a Gator swimming along the side of road.

I hope it doesn't get any worse there. I have a sporting clays tournament there starting Saturday. A friend of mine is there setting targets right now. Said he was in ankle deep water all day.
