    NRA and Politicians to Blame?

Just watched a "statement" on Yahoo news of a father whose son was killed in the shootings in California. Obviously I feel for this family and their loss:

However, even in his distress and loss, I disagree with blaming particularly the NRA and all of us "gun rights" folk as implied IMO.

In reading the article it also stated the killer "stabbed to death" 3 others at his apartment complex before he began shooting.

    Just food for thought...

This is yet another Liberal shooting it up and they immediatly blame our side. We really need to take a hard look at disarming them......

I'll cut the father some slack for lashing out in his grief but my guess is that was his opinion of the NRA even before his loss. Crazy people with evil in their hearts will always find ways to kill others. The fact that he got his guns legally makes no difference.

IMO they should ban all guns in California, then do a study of the crime rate and see how much IT DOESN'T CHANGE!!! Anyone remember what happened to the crime stats after Clinton banned "assault rifles".......they went up. Liberals will always blame conservatives and the likewise, either we will continue to fight or they will out breed us. The latter option seems to be more likely.

Evil people do evil things. No law will ever change that. If this man's son had been able to defend himself with a gun, the outcome could have been different.

That would be the perfect state for this.

Seriously ? Why punish the law abiding citizens of the state because of the actions of a few whack jobs just to prove a point...

Its my understanding the young man had mental issues, but yet nothing was done, the Obama seems to have more and more of these shootings under his command but yet what is he doing to help the mentally ill. Can the LEO just arrest them with out cause, my understanding is you can have your children taken away from you than have someone committed.

I am truly sorry for the fathers loss and everyone's loss in this incident, No law or regulation can ever protect people from somebody who has snapped and is intent on doing evil or harm to others. The only protection is to protect yourself, The best offence is good defensive.

He was diagnosed with Aspergers and mental illness, but yet still had access to a handgun. I have not seen if it was purchased by him, someone else or was taken from a friend or possibly family. Somewhere down the line the line there was failure in letting this demented young man have a firearm. The police had investigated him for some of the videos he posted on youtube and still nothing was done. Too much PC going on and a lot of people are afraid to call out someone for fear of being ridiculed or sued.

Prayers for that family and all families negatively effected by a mentally ill man! To even attempt to go political & NRA right now is disappointing as the dust has not settled.

The real problem is we gave a bunch of rights to the mentally ill. You can't just lock them up - that is what has to change. If anything we need to get the NRA to help advocate for mental health in our nation. This kid was a spoiled rich kid that was not getting his way - so he throws a temper tantrum and kills people. His parents knew about it and did not take stronger action to protect the world from their son. Perhaps we should sue them. We gun owners need to ensure the left does not get to place the blame on us - when this is their responsibility. Why did the parents not have this kid locked up? Why did the police ignore this kids danger signs?
Why should we take the blame for their mistakes?

Once again the blame is being place other than where it needs to be placed. We will never get this problem under control until the people take a stance on the mentally ill. People are so afraid they will "offend" someone so they blame the inanimate object, "the gun". Or they blame "the politician" or an organization "The NRA". Because that's easier to do. Until the mentally ill are recognized and handled accordingly this will continue to happen. Just my 2 cents.

                              Prayers sent.

Pretty bad when you can't get any girls in Calif. I'd like to see his computer records to maybe get an idea if this is a new form of suicide, so we can prevent it from happening again. Scary copy of the CT shooting.
