How bad is this drought?

Nobody is kidding themselves, this drought isn't over, but this is a nice respite.

This could be a life saver to a lot of farmers and to my wife's livelihood for this year, but it is going to take a lot more rain to bring us out of the drought. Glad we are getting what we have so far.

Hopefully the rain will continue and put some water in the dried out lakes in the Panhandle. Glad to hear y'all are getting some much needed rain!

Yep.

Back in about '99 or '00 when Zach 2 or 3 years old we'd been in a drought (not quite as bad as this one). We finally got a rain. We were driving home from somewhere, and there was water everywhere. Zach said, "Mommy, somebody spilled their Sprite everywhere."

Not exactly sure on the yrs, my memory is my least reliable source of information.
