    Ford F-150 Mechanic???

    I have a 2010 Ford F-150 KR 4X4 79,000 miles.

Recently, I have noticed a slight knock in the rear-end when taking off from a stop. It does not do it until I come to a complete stop, then take off. Also, it doesn't matter how much I accelerate. Even just taking my foot off of the brake, I will hear it knock. It is by no means loud, but annoying.

The truck is still under warranty. So, I plan on taking it in when I have some time that I can do without it, but that will be a few weeks away.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

More as a "curiosity kills the cat" kind of thing.

Does it only do it when taking off straight, or only when stopping then making a turn or either way?
U-joints are a possibility or maybe even the limited slip clutches??

If it does it even if you just take your foot off the brake I would be it's a brake caliper sticking or something to do with the brakes.

You need to take it in and have the slip yoke greased on the driveshaft. Ford has a tsb out about it and if you are under 60000 miles it is warranty work.

Thank you guys, it does it when going straight or turning. Basically, right before it starts to move forward, it "clunks". If I do not come to a complete stop, it does not do it.
