Negative. That's the reason he got traded. Didn't want to move to 1st to accomodate a spot for Profar. Which is ironic, since MY moved to SS to make a spot for him when he came up. He also said he didn't want to have to be a leader to those younger guys. It sucks for Fielder to be hurt but that's the happiest a trade has made me in a LONG time!

Pretty sure MY moved when Soriano came to the team. Then moved again when Afraud showed up.

How it feels to be a Rangers fan this season.




One positive thing though, the Rangers DL is is slated to finish 4th in the AL West, followed by the Rangers active roster.

On an actual positive note , if these guys all come back healthy next year, we'll have a helluva lineup. Rios will be the only one not out there next year unless they ship Beltre somewhere too. Wouldn't be shocked if that happens. We've got him for two more yrs so he'd command a pretty good crop of prospects but I sure hate to see him go.

Since we're on the subject, I'll be at the ballpark on the 27th if June to see the cobbled together lineup of the Express/Riders/Crawdads take on the Twins.

What's the "don't miss" grub to have at the Park? Family and I have never caught a Rangers game, so we have no idea.

I would really HATE to see this. It might be best for the team in the long run, but besides being MY favorite player, he's invaluable in the clubhouse for all the young Latino players in the Ranger's system.

I agree which is the biggest reason why I DONT see it happening. There's not a legitimate replacement for him at the moment and I think that would create a negative effect for the next 2 seasons if he were to get traded. If he was a free agent, then yes but the dude's a beast at 3rd and Joey Gallo is at least another full season, maybe 2, from being ready to play in Arlington.

If I'm trading a guy besides Rios, it's Elvis. Guy is under contract for another decade or so, so he can't go anywhere. As long as a team could live with minimal production from his bat and be ok with 10-20 errors a year, they'd have themselves a good SS. My fear in that is this. He's only 25 and with our luck, he'd hit 20 HRs and drive in 100 and win a Gold Glove with another team! LOL

With Profar's future questionably, Elvis is untouchable. I wouldn't like to see Belts traded, but the way Gallo is shredding the minors....it wouldn't shock me. I'm glad Mitch is getting the chance to play every day, but it scares me that he may play his way into a trade as well. It will be interesting to see what Soto can do when he gets back. If Gimenez can play some, and Alfaro likely a Sepetember call up, Soto is expendable and could be of some value to a contender needing a catcher.

If you are going high dollar foods, the mitch witch is great! The Texas chilli dog smothered in cheese chilli and grilled onions is a great choice too and its less that 10$.
