Took 4 days to get on one. Finally got it done. And while he is no monster, it was a hunt I will remember fondly for all the effort that went into harvesting him. Pretty much just like western big game hunting, we spent hours upon hours glassing ridges. We'd find a group, try to identify a shooter and then make our stalk.
Problem with Bandera County though is that the cedars don't lend much for visibility on those stalks. We got right on top of a 27-28 inch ram that we'd glassed from 1000 yards away. We saw the group 20 yards away from us but couldn't identify which sheep was which thru all the cedars on the cliff face.
Anyway, got this guy the last morning. Can't wait to go back and shoot for a bigger one. Hunted with Zac Bents of Droptine Hunting. Highly recommend.

Bachelor group of 2-3 year old rams passing by

Looking at a group of sheep 300 yards across the canyon. Never saw a shooter in this bunch.

Took a break around noon one day and did some culling for a fish fry
