    protein/salt blocks, etc

Has anyone ever had good luck with these by their feeder? I have never witnessed a deer eating or licking the ones we had put out. Are there any good ones on the market? I know Academy has some smaller ones that are apple and acorn and etc

I use the mineral blocks that are in the red and white package. I take them only when i go to the lease while i am there hunting just for a little something extra for the deer to eat on they smell like candy to them and have alot of video of deer actually nawwing on them.

I feed Paymaster deer protein blocks. The deer really eat them up in a hurry.

I placed an Academy block in a feed pen I'd had up for a month and by the next week I had the cows jumping over my feedpen to get at it and my corn.

I moved it off to another feeder that didn't have a feedpen and there it sat.....all season with not noticeable difference except maybe some rain affecting it. No deer or hog pics of them using it...It's probably still sitting up there.

Yes the deer love them . Salt blocks with protein are good to have out as we speak . Deer really use these during the horn growth time not so much in the winter .They induce horn growth along with protein . But hogs will use them year around .

we feed the paymaster proetin blocks in mason. 33 lb block and im not sure what the protein percentage is. i think its 24 or somethin like that. they will eat one to two blocks in a week. i put some out on my leas ein crane and nothin touches them. idk why but they dont. the ones i put out theer are purina deer chow blocks. none of the deer i have seen eat salt blocks. so i dont put those out.
if you really wanna see alot of deer eat them get some of the paymaster blocks and put some blocktopper on it. they will even eat whatever is left in the dirt after the block is gone and make a hole in the ground.

The deer seem to like the Trophy Rock pretty well, and it last for a good period of time. As far as whether any of the blocks have a measureable nutritional benefit to them...I seriousily doubt it.

I use the Paymaster blocks as well. I put them right in front of the trail cams to get good close up pics. Works great.

I use the compressed deer blocks. I cant remember you makes them but I get them at TSC. If they dont have them the deer will eat the sheep and goat blocks just the same.

I have tried every brand out there and keep going back to the paymasters. The deer love them and eat them up quick. Usually only last about a week. The others I have tried have lasted at the shortest a month and usually around 3 months. Paymaster Deer blocks are the only way to go.........

I use the TSC Salt blocks, 50#'ers(cheap). Have trail cam pics to prove they are utilizing them in Nacodoches county where my lease is.
