    Leveling kit or lift kit?

I got a 2012 f150 4x4 and I'm debating on either a leveling kit with a rear add a leaf or go with a small lift. What do y'all recommend? Also what is the best type of kit to buy?

Level and 2" lift kit looks good on them. Not sure if you want to do both tho.

Get blocks in rear if you do a leveling kit.

I still regret putting in my add a leaf on every pot hole. squeak squeak UGH

I leveled my 09 and put 305 Nitto trail grapplers on it. If I could do it again I would put a 4" suspension lift on it.

Tires will kill your MPG worse than lift.

                I lost 1-2 with lift

                3 with MT tires 33s

I went with a leveling kit and 305/65/18. I haven't done anything to the rear.......yet

you can level those and fit 35's i believe. That will for the most part get you all the same placed my 6in lift on my truck will. The only issue is that its a Ford but in all reality you dont really always need a 6in lift when a good lvl is pretty much a 3in lift on the cheap

The leveling didn't really hurt gas mileage but the tires sure did!!

^^^^ what he said, I did a level and put 32s on mine, lost 3mpg

Would do it again in a heartbeat.

I have the same truck, 2012 F150 4x4. I just put air bags on the back to help when I'm pulling the travel trailer. In a week or so I'll be putting the 2.5" Rough Country leveling spacers on the front. Having the air bags on the back, I won't have to worry about putting blocks or anything on.

You can level it ad run 285/75r18 tires. That's a 35" tire with no rubbing at all. Ever! I since have changed back to 275/70r18 which is a 33. The only issue I have with my leveling kit is if I put a big load in the back. It handles it fine, but it looks like it's more squatted in the back because in all actuality, it started even with the front so it sits lower when loaded.

Lost 1 mpg adding a level kit the front down slant looks like hell on trucks but good for fuel economy.
Going from Factory 31" tires to heavier and wider 33" I lost another 1-1.5 mpg hand calculated and after tuning for the taller tires.
Some of the MT 33" and 35" tip the scales around 100 lbs each!
Level will mess with the front end geometery and give you premature wear on some of your suspension components so you will have that to look foward to in a couple years.
