    How to fill a freezer...

    40lbs of burger+20lbs breakfast sausage= Happy Wife

Finally got around to grinding the last of the trimmings. My wife was very excited that it has become usable meat, as opposed to just bags taking up space. I process all our meat at home, took a couple of pics of before and after. My hands were too messy for during pictures. I tried to get the wife to let me put all of the meat out on the counter after we were finished to get a good pic.....yeah she said, "your dumb," were putting it up as we go. Since she was the only person helping me, i was fine with that. So here is one fridges worth.

I have about 20 pounds of the same, trying to decide what to do. I was going to make it into burger but I'm now thinking of making another batch of Summer Sausage. The first is 30 pounds is nearly gone.

        Good job.

Thats awesome. Im currently going through hell because my chest freezer somehow filled with water in last weeks storm... All my meat is in a solid ice block and I feel like a **** caveman chiseling it out

Instead of zip locks look at getting a tube stuffer with a tape attachment. It has less air pockets and takes 1/2 the time

A buddy of mine has one and about 2000 bags. He was out of town this weekend so the old food saver worked ok. My wife also likes it to lay down in the freezer like you see in the picture, better than the tubes. She used the breakfast sausage like that by thawing it out, then cutting it into squares. That way she really never has to touch the meat. She's sneaky like that.
