Did Anyone watch the new L.L.Bean TV Show?

Saw a new for me TV Show on the Outdoor Channel last night.

fellow who is an employee of L L Bean Co in Maine goes to Alberta to hunt Elk Deer & Black bear.

Guide calls in a dandy Monster Bull Elk to 12 yards
The host named Gordon or something doesn't shoot; not a clear shot- Good!

Then the bull comes into 10 yards and turns broadside and the host blows a shot at 10 yards and gut shoots the big Bull Elk.
    Pass through!

Gordon the Host finds his arrow, looks like the blades of the mech head appear to be unopened. Can't tell but Mox nix. Doubt that a fixed head would have done any better

    Poor Shot placement!

Host says it a "Lung & Liver shot." Bull Feathers!!!!!

    IT WAS A GUT SHOT!

After tracking the blood trail which is watery and thin, they take a break at 500 yards. More help is called in- good!

    More searching

5 hour LATER no elk, and host comment' s

Well that happens sometimes tough luck & end of show.

NO APOLOGIES NO SORROW AT WOUNDING A BIG BULL ELK WHICH UNDOUBTEDLY DIED-

Maybe it was his arrogant attitude, maybe his Yankee new England/BOSTON Accent- but i was not impressed.

But to gut shot a elk and CALL IT a lung/ liver shot, with no pink foamy pink froth like blood- I guess he figures the viewers just fell off the turnip truck.

    Very Bad Show !
regardless it was a slam in the face to bowhunting, and the Bowhunters that watched it were like me horrified it made the OUTDOOR CHANNEL.

    3M Thinsulate was a sponsor.
SO was the famous L.L. BEAN Co.

Please take the time to write the CEO of LL Bean Company in Freeport Maine and Copy the CEO (a non Hunters )of the Outdoor Channel,( Ex CBS exec) that this is not acceptable conduct for TV NOR WILL IT be approved in the future.

Ask both to see that this horrible TV Show is withdrawn and never shown again as a rerun.

This show damages and defames bowhunting

    Thanks

yeah i saw that show. i would be lying if i said i have never made a bad shot and never found the animal i was intending, but i think the show was not very good. i was kinda was pumped about that stare off and then the shot at first but not finding that bad boy just let me down. i would think "pro" hunters would not make that mistake. but i guess everyone does now and again. luckily mine are not on film.

      RIGHT

Most hunters some times make a bad shoot but to promote the bad shot in TV is not right, and then to lie about it is worse
      Thanks

didn't see it, but if it's like you say, that is sickening...I feel remorse every time I recover an animal; I haven't recovered a couple, and I am sick for weeks after...I have always felt that the animal deserves the spotlight, not the hunter - for these guys to perform like this on national TV is the worst thing for hunters in general, and bowhunters in particular
