I researched several different range finders and finally bought the ranger 1000. The biggest advantage is the readout as some others had readouts that you could not read at dawn and dusk. It is very accurate and does have the angle compensation feature. And, it is covered by a lifetime warranty...actually read an account of someone leaving a Vortex product on the roof of their car and it fell of and broke...they replaced it. Hope this helps.
