Be careful, all SD cards are not created equal. I got some cheap ones for the TCs thinking I got a great deal....they weren't even the proper dimensions. They worked but did not slide in and out of the card slot properly and one quit working after a month. My SanDisk and PNY cards have been going strong for years. Washed one that I left in my pocket. Still works and even had the pics on it.

Circuit City has the 2GB SanDisk for $13.99, double the price. Not sure how much it matters but Moultrie indicated to get name brand cards. The others will not have as long of a battery life. So with a SD you get 5 or 6 months, maybe 4 months and 3 weeks with the other brands. I don't know, just what Moultrie mentioned as advice?

Battery life on data media? lol...that's a first for me...

You sure you didn't get name brand batteries mixed up with SD card talk?

No. A xD card takes less amps than a SD, we are talking micro amounts. Different SD cards take different amounts to run also. Thought I would just pass a tip along on what Moultrie mentioned. Also do a search and notice that the SD cards have different write speeds. Probably why some are given away for free w/ rebates when the new tech comes out.

I was using a Moultrie as an example, if everything were equal one card may not consume as much energy in the field as another. So figure your time and gas, just some food for thought.

I bought the High Capacity SD cards and so far it is a waste of money..Cant get them to work, format or even read in the computer. I wonder if Sears will take them back without the packaging???

I haven't tried these in the I40 yet but thats exactly what I plan to do this afternoon. Not sure how limited it is but the lady at microcenter said they have a limited lifetime warranty and to bring em back if they stopped working.

They should be fine? I have some 2GB SanDisk and no problems. I know some digital cameras are limited on the size of the chips, so if the chip is too large, they won't work.

I40 says max of 4gb. Bought two of the 4gb HC cards and cannot use them. Any suggestions?
