A /C installer techs question

7.5-10 ton package unit with elevated central trunk line and ground level return. Probably set you back about 10-12k. For a profesional job

You can probably get away with a smaller unit than expected since, as you said its been insulated with expanding foam. I'd have an AC guy look at it though.

Or just tell the kids its time to toughen up...after all its a summer game.

Whichever way you go, have your ac guy do a true manual j load calculation. I'm willing to bet that you don't need anywhere near 7.5 tons, heck probably not even 5, to do the job. It really depends on what kind of equipment is in there and how many people.
