Since I last smoked a cigarette. Last Sunday, at about this time, I finished my box of Malboro Lights and went to bed. Monday I woke up with major chest congestion and irritated throat. Felt that way for 2.5 Days and never even thought about lighting up.
Friday I bought a new pack it off habit while filling up my truck. Decided what the heck and lot one up. 2 puffs later, I was gagging and killed it. Gave the test of the pack to a neighbor and have been totally free since.
I should add that a month ago I bought a vaporizer and accessories (about $100 worth) and had been hitting it pretty regular to help kick the habit. Last week I didn't even turn it on and have only taken 8 puffs this weekend.
I hope I am finally able to quit for good. I've tried patches and pills to no avail. I have gone cold Turkey before and went a couple months, but craved a cig every day. This time, there is no real craving. I haven't resorted to eating to speed the habit, but I have been having a harder time sleeping at night.
Wish me luck in finally kicking the habit, saving some money and all the good stuff that comes with it.
I will still spark up a good cigar with a good whiskey on occasion though, that is one pleasure I will not debt myself. I know, I'm weak, lol
