I have been hunting out at my lady's grandparents place for 2 years now. Never really seen much besides a few does and have only killed 2 of them. I let my feeder run out after season because I had planned on taking them down once it was empty. Well today i went to take it down and as I was walking up there I noticed some spots that were rooted. Now I know that a armadillo will do some rooting around. But these seem like too big of patches to be an armadillo. Especially the over turned rocks. So i decided to move the feeder up the hill to where the biggest concentration of these patches is. I had to run to the feed store to buy some corn and pick up another battery. Well I filled the feeder up, then i put the battery in. Then i tried to use the timer... and nada. So I am guessing its a bad battery. I didn't have time to go back and swap it for another today. So i am doing it first thing in the morning. In the mean time y'all tell me what y'all think about these "spots". I know the pictures are bad. But most of these spots are 4-6 inches deep. There aren't any tracks to go off of due to the tad bit of rain we have had. I haven't ever seen hogs out there but some of the neighbors have. But they haven't seen any lately.
wow now that i have them online i can see just how awful they are. You have to look close at them. BTW i think someone hunted there before me. and right where i want my tripod! oh and are these blackberries?
You can see it under the trees sorta!
