    Carpenter/wood bees

Talking about the kind that bore holes in wood

How many use the same hole?

Always thought one bee made the hole and laid eggs in it and left

Last week my wife heard one in a wooden cut out sign we have hanging on the patio. I pulled the sign down, turned it over and filled the hole with water. 3 adult bees came out and I was surprised but I stepped on them and hung the sign back up.
Just saw another bee go in sign and killed him too

Killed a many of them around the barn and house with tennis rackets and those big red kid baseball bats

I give the grandkids a tennis racket and a 1$ bounty each.

^^^ great way to slow them down works for us.

they will return every year around our house and garage and will reuse previous vacant bored holes made from others in the past besides creating their own as well<><

              I like that idea!

they say the males do not sting but the females are the ones to watch out for, docile but very aggressive if provoked and can punch a whollup of a sting!

I've got a couple that have invaded and chosen to reside in the tubing at the top of my tree stand. They are an absolute pain in the butt while I'm trying to hog hunt out of it. One of them went into the tubing and I stuck a stick in it. Hate them things, they are really scary at 15 feet up.
