Lets talk BBQ Pits and Smokers

I need a new one, anything with gas is a sin in my backyard so what do you all suggest as a good buy on combo grill with fire box for smoking?
Most of the stuff I see at Academy, Lowes etc is all too light of steel and I will burn it out in one summer.
    Help me decide.

I recently got a Pitmaker and can say, without question, that it is the best pit on the market for my needs. They're built to last for life to, so don't buy it unless you want to keep it for 20+ years

Barrel Pit from HEB are the best. Just put some tin down so it won't rust through and clean it out regularly. Best pit for the $$.

Picked up one of these of CL for $200. I'm VERY happy with it.

I love my vertical offset by lonestar grillz. The fit and finish is as good if not better than the bigger more recognized pit builders in TX. Footprint is smaller than a regular offset. Rolls around very easily with casters. It's more fuel efficient too as the heat rises. And cooks more evenly. Mine has a warmer oven but without it, you also have a nice grill top for direct grilling above the firebox. The 24" has a ton of room for big and small cooks and is a great value for an all 1/4" cooker. Check em out.

Lone Star Grillz can be your one stop shop for buying the best quality BBQ smokers and grills. Reach us for all types of standard and custom options in budget.
