    Snake invades my pups space!

Bayou was going crazy last week outside my home office! I knew it was not the standard daily frog, lizard, squirrel or neighbor walking there dog. Well this well camouflaged critter was evicted with extreme prejudice!!!!!!!!

Hognose. Good at playing possum. I thought they were cobras when I was a kid. My grandmother called them puff adders.

Harmless Hog Nose. They mostly eat frogs/toads, no threat to your pup and make great pets for the kids. I'd think someone raised on the bayous of S LA would know this ?????...

U know I knew that, thus my initial post was presented gingerly.......but hawks gotta eat to!!! LOL!
Maybe the calvary can help rid my perimeter property of the rest of the snakes around here! Got a copperhead, coral snake and two water moccasins last summer.....(one got Bayou on the cheek)......but my total count was around 11.

I caught a 2.5 ft.one, was raising it but darn thing pushed open the top, hope he,s still in the house ,but I think he made his escape. I raised a diamond back rattler for over a year but was gone for a week and no one would pour water thru the top of the screen, he turned into a NICE hat band
