    Dove hunting and protein feeders

Just curious if you hunt close to a protein feeder is that considered baiting dove?

If the dove are using it for food and you are shooting them in a path that has them coming or going from it, it is baiting..

I know with a regular feeder throwing corn it is, but didn't know with gravity feed protein tubes. Was out there this weekend and the guys want to put a protein feeder close by our wheat field. That field is awesome come dove season so I'd rather not make that illegal to be in that field.

Make sure it's empty and stop feeding 2 weeks before dove season.

Just be away from it at least 300 yards and like earlier stated avoid the flight path to the feeder this is what i was told by warden in Dilly texas.

Just tell the game warden writing the ticket that it is the opinion of the green screen that you are not baiting.

Hell I just plant my food plots a little early, then we set up on my fields to keep the dove from eating all the seed.
