What is MCAAP?

Draw hunt of the ammo dump in Mcalester Oklahoma. Here is the link. They have killed some monsters out of there. It is a military installation. Totally primitive hunt. No electronics/aids/sights or cams allowed.

How many people are drawn for the H hunts? How many per unit? Curious to see just how crowded it gets.

No deer at hagerman...really not worth the time!

Saw a bunch turkey hunting. I liked how few of us hunters there were for each unit during the turkey hunt which is why I'm asking about the #s for the deer hunt.

Im not sure the exact number but I think it is 50 per hunt segment with 3 segments. The odds of getting drawn for the H are a lot better than the mcaap hunt. I think they have about 15k people put in for the mcaap hunt every year and draw 1100 tags

75 per segment. 225 total. I think under 900 put in last year. But there's no deer out there

I'm in for MCAAP. Hunted there a couple years ago; it was pretty cool. Didn't kill anything but still enjoyed the experience.
As far as numbers, MCAAP had almost 17,000 applicants last year for 1,600 permits. I think 1,354 actually showed up for the hunts and there were 190 total deer killed, 88 were bucks, 24 made P&Y.
I'm not really expecting to get drawn since I don't have any preference points, but you never know; at least I'll start building up my preference points if I don't.

How ya figure? do you know the acreage? I mean a deer lease with 3 people isn't bad with 600 acres but a deer lease with 3 people and only 30 acres ...........
