I am looking at getting an '06 5.4 f-250 for my landscaping company and was wondering what the GS thought. Obviously I need something reliable and it will need to be able to haul decently heavy loads (around 5k lbs). What says the GS?

If you only hauling 5k that 5.4 will handle it. My 08 f250 has a 5.4 with 170k miles and it's still going strong. It's seen more abuse than most bigger trucks. Granted the gas mileage isnt great but you won't know 5k behind you with that motor.Comment

I own both a 2004 5.4 F150 and a 2002 7.3 F250. Both have over 240K miles on them and both tow 3-5 days/week. For your application, the diesel will pay for itself down the line with much better mpg's and the ability to haul more as your business dictates.Originally posted by Bowmansam View PostComment
