Chinese auction is basically like this:

There will be multiple items for auction or raffle. Raffle is a better term.

You buy a butut load of tickets and then place how ever many you want in a bucket next to the item being Raffled.

Once all of the tickets are sold and placed by potential buyers then they draw a ticket out of the bucket.
