Archery opener 2014

Could not find the answer, does anyone know for sure when the archery opener for 2014 will be? Curious if it's the last weekend of September or first weekend of October.

Someone posted it was sept 27th. They had confirmed with tpwd in order to start booking clients for hunts. I'll see if I can find it again.

Archery opener 2014

I use to know the answer but it slips my brain at the moment. I think it is count back 5 weeks from the first full weekend of November(gun opener).

I was told that it's the Saturday closest to Oct 1st which would make it Oct 4th.

Nick with Brushy Hill has it from TPWD that it will be on the 27th which works for me. I like having 5 weekends to bow hunt knowing that I automatically miss one due to my youngest daughter’s birthday.

Honestly-opening weekend which I plan to hunt 4-5 days and the last two weekends (rut) are my favorite for the entire year. After that I don't plan on seeing a shooter buck until mid-December where I hunt.
