Taking new bow hunter for 1st hunt.

I will be bringing my 11 year old for his first bow hunt at the end of this month. We will be going to Chambers and hopefully he will get some good shooting chances. This will be my sixth year going there and with it being so dry the pigs should be pretty easy to pattern.

I think I will have him use buzz cuts with bleeder blades but I am not for sure yet. Any recommendations on broadheads for a 40 lb draw and thick under brush.

Good luck! My wife used the buzzcuts last time we went there and they did not leave any blood on the ground from the ones she shot. She will not shoot them anymore, no confidence in them.

I have a friend who shoots the Muzzy Phantoms and loves them. Actually both him and his wife shoots them and they were down there with us. She shot a hog and it left good blood but we still couldn't find it (don't think it was a fatal hit).

Buzz cuts with bleeder blades will work just fine. Here is a boar I shot last year with them and there was plenty of blood.
