    Pastor Bill Winston

Listening to him preach The Word really helps my faith. Don't know if any of y'all ever watch his program, but I always feel better after listening to him.

    That brother can preach!

Dr. Bill Winston is the founder of Bill Winston Ministries (BWM), a partnership-based outreach ministry.

I don't want to dispute over the Word or differences, I'd simply like to know for knowledge sake... I often hear of "prosperity theology" aka healthy wealthy and wise doctrine.. And also "name it claim it theology" .. Those are usually warned against from many Bible teachers I listen to.. Does bill Winston fall under that category, if not why not?

I'm asking because yes I agree God most certainly can provide what ever He likes whether it be house, cars, plains or the like but do we come to God like we come to Santa? What can you give me Lord? I really mean no disrespect at all, I liked a lot of what Bill Winston said but I wanna be careful what I allow my heart to receive and I don't want to become matieral focused

You are right to be carefull of what you allow you heart to recieve. You are also right that God is not Santa. Instead of "What can you give me Lord?" try "Lord, I want all that you have for me!" Ask in the nature of Jesus. Ask for spiritual things and not worldly things. If you are not grasping for worldly things, and are God focused, one day you look around and find you have all the worldly things you need. (not to be confused with all the worldly things you want) That is how I understand the message. Seek first his kingdom..
