Try feeding the small kibble dog food if you haven't already.

I had a dog that did that. I would give her about 5 min. max to eat. If she didn't, I picked it up. Eventually she learned to eat when I put the bowl down.

        A couple questions:

Are they kenneled most of the day? Do they work (training, etc.)? How much physical time do they get?

I meant that I've tried all the foods. He likes the tasty ones, but I whined him off them. Then he resorts to this again.

They stay in a 20x40 pin in the day and sleep in their kennels at night or if it's bad weather. When they get into trouble they usually have time out in their kennels. If one acts up he goes to kennel by himself. That's also where they eat. Family time on their pillow in LV room.

I try to work with them every day. Obedience training all the time. Sit, lay, stay and all the standard stuff. Throw frisbee and ball together and individually. Then I try to take them on walks together. If they are acting up, its individual walks.

About once a week I work them on a trail or 2 for scent tracking.

Both dogs should be putting the food down then. It must just be a puppy thing. I would assume they have been wormed. If he is picky with all of the food you listed above, I wouldn't worry about oral pain. I would give him 5 min. to start eating, if he doesn't pick it up. I bet he will eventually eat when you feed him. I am not a big believer in adding to my dogs food unless it is required by the vet. If she won't eat her normal dry dog food, then she gets nothing else. It sounds harsh, but I don't want to have to worry about bringing something to add to her food when hunting.

They get spoiled to the can food. My wife started it when our pup was 8 weeks. Yep, he is spoiled to can now. LOL.

Might need blood work done to be on the safe side.

Added some can food and he tore it up.
Going to do the same routine and retrain him.

He's been this way since 3 months. Had monthly check ups till 6 months. The vet said he was fine. They were believers in leaving food in kennel all the time. I didn't like that approach.

They're poddy trained, but this morning he peed his kennel. Hasn't done that in months!

He hasn't missed a meal in a week with half can of food to his normal dry food. Then this morning he wouldn't eat and this afternoon.

                            Just like children....
