    Food plot question

I'm plantin a field on my place and was wonderin if deer eat hay grazer? Some people say they will, some people say they won't.
There aren't any fields around our place so there won't be any competing fields.

you would think, but never really been around deer and haygrazer at the same time.

i'd probably go with wheat, or rye or something before i would do grazer.

I would think they would almost have to be forced to eat it. Especially after it gets going and grows tall and tough.

I guess there's only one way to find out.

Hay grazer would be too tall before it heads out. Try milo instead.

I planted haygrazer to screen my food plots off 2 years ago. Deer didn't touch it but the hogs destroyed it early on. Had a camera on it so I knew it was hogs.

It's certainly not a preferred food source for them. They may eat it a little but there are much better things for them like cow peas, soybeans, etc....

This. Tried it a couple years ago in small plots that the deer would keep mowed down if they liked it. It grew over 8' tall and was tough to get rid of with small equipment.
