    New crop report

The fawns are really starting to hit the ground here in Brazoria County. I saw the first one 3 weeks ago while I was headed towards the back of the ranch. Cute little rascal it was, about the size of our cat, and more and more are showing up every day. Wife saw one with a doe in the backyard this morning.

Soon as they start bringing them up to the house where we feed them I try and post some pics.

We don't start seeing ours until early June. Your deer have to be rutting in the first part of September for you to be seeing fawns this early.

Rut starts sometimes as early as late August here along the upper coastal counties.

The rut on our place in Hardin Co was mainly mid October this past year. Gun hunters completely miss it.
