New boat

Well, I closed the deal on a shallow runnin boat this weekend. She's got a 140hp Suzuki that purrs like a kitten. Pretty excited about fishing skinny this summer. I had a 22' Ultra Cat before this one so its going to take a lil gettin used to. Any fishing reports from down South, like green islands, benny's shack, saucers, Rattlesnake etc?. C'mon guys hook a brutha up. Not lookin for waypoints...justa lil inside scoop.... like what's the bait of choice and general area bitin. Planning on heading South next week so any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Yeah, ive always wanted to fish a flat deck boat but always ended up with others. Figured i would play with this one for a year or two until my boy gets old enough to tag along. That 22' boat was just too much boat for them days i went fishin alone.

I cant even hear it. I had to duck down to listen. I was used to the screamin of my 150 Vmax. Totally dif with this four stroke. First thought when we put her in the water was "wait something aint right"

I havent gone fishing yet. I only took her out for a test run but I can tell you this. Washing this boat took about an hour less time than that other submarine! The flat deck made it pretty sweet too

Man that's a nice boat! I have only been offshore one time, and fished the flats a couple times but I much prefer the bays and shallow water. I wish I was closer cause I think I could become addicted pretty quick if it wasn't 8 hrs away.

If you havent tried to sight cast for reds....buddy let me tell you IT IS ADDICTING. Its kinda like top water fishing....just exciting!
