Luling/Gonzales area TBHers

I moved out this way about a year ago and ever since then I have been looking for some decent fishing out here. I have tried to fish the San Marcos river in a few different spots from Luling on over to San Marcos and have had limited success. I know there is some decent fishing at lake bastrop and fayette county but I would like to find something a little closer. Any suggestions?

Dude, get yourself a kayak or johnboat and I'll get you on the fish on the San Marcos river. Bastrop lake is good fishin right now. I'm from Flatonia and the only good fishing was at private places. Hit me up sometime
