Best Gun shops - DFW area

Planning a goof off day to spend some time with my dad and thought we might hit a few guns shops in DFW area. Looking for the locally owned places with good inventory, new and used. Neither of us are too big on tactical and not interested in the box stores.

    Any suggestions?

Jackson Armory - good place, good guns, a little pricey but lots of neat stuff to look at.

Jackson Armory again... You can come across some pretty special guns there, and get a burger at Burger House while your there in Snider Plaza

I was going to suggest Willoughby McCabe...it appears to be a few doors down from Jackson Armory. Not sure if there's any connection, but it's an awesome store.

There's also the Beretta Gallery in Highland Park Village, not too far from Snider Plaza.

Frisco- Frisco Gun Club. A few months ago, they were selling guns at $5 over cost. Glocks were $425. Pretty good selection, not sure anyone in DFW has more pistols.

McKinney- Cheaper than Dirt. Not affiliated with the internet CTD or the one in Ft Worth. Very tactical, but a good selection. They may surprise you.

Dallas- Bachman Pawn. Gun shop next to their pawn shop. It's just a name, not what you'd expect for that part of town. Nice selection, lots of Kimbers, HKs, and Sigs.

Dallas- Rays Hardware. Overpriced, but has a decent gunsmith and stocks hard to find parts. Decent selection, but overpriced.

Plano- Bullet Trap. Nice selection, decent prices, haz a gun range...owns Frisco Gun Club. Totally different type of store than the one in Frisco. Not near as fancy.

Allen- Cabellas. Yes, it's a box store...but they have a nice selection and loads of 40 and 9.

I cannot vouch for any of the other stores mentioned. The ones I stated aren't the one I frequent. Have fun!

CTD McKinney quit going after the price gouging. Abusive

Cheaper than Dirt Mckinney, out of business.
I will not go back to Ray's.
