Wanting to find a good comfortable xds holster for hunting/walking around the ranch? I currently have a black hawk paddle holster but would like other suggestions.

I use a few Fobus holsters while off duty. They are reasonably cheap, hold the handgun up close to you and aren't a fancy piece of leather that you don't want to scratch up in the woods.

I have a bianchi retention level 1 retention holster I use for my G21. The gun has a hood and a thumb release in the inner part of the holster. Its big, but its nice
