First let me thank everyone who sent my son prayers when he was born. He was born on 12-21-2013 and we knew he would soon be having open heart surgery because of his congenital heart defects. His first surgery was on 1-3-2014 his uncle's birthday. He is having his second open heart surgery this Wednesday 4-16-2014 at Texas Children's in Houston, TX. Between some narrowing in his shunt,( this is the only thing that allows him to get blood flow to his lungs) and the fact he is doing SO GOOD, and GROWING so fast, which is not normal for a heart baby, they are going to have to open him up again and replace his shunt with a bigger one because his O2 levels are too low. My son is a FIGHTER and is STRONG and I know he will make it thru this surgery with flying colors.
