    Nitto Terra Grappler Reviews

Im looking at a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers that a guy has for sale. He says they have about 3K miles on em, and they look like they don't have many miles at all on them. He says he just paid $350 each for them, but he is selling them for half of that ($650 for all 4) with the stock wheels off his truck. I figure that I can sell the Ram wheels and my current tires to recooperate my expense.

So anyway, Im wondering a couple of things. Mainly, how are these tires performance wise? Im mainly concerned with street manners, sand, and slick east TX red-clay-mud.

I am wanting to run some 35s onmy truck at some point, and would like to upgrade to a Toyo MT or the Trail Grappler, but for the price, I almost cant pass it up. But, I don't want to buy someone elses mistake and pick up a set of tires that don't perform worth a darn. Looking forward to some input from some of you with personal experience.

On a side note, anyone wanna buy a set of factory Ram 2500 wheels?

    PM me for details.

i had them on my 3/4 ton and loved em'. when the tires go out on my new truck i'll be buying another set of the nitto's.
Minimal road noise, good ride and wore evenly. did fine in west louisiana clay.

Went back and looked at your title-sorry my mistake i had the trail grapplers.

Got some 305/55/20's on my F150 bout 6000 miles so far so good. Paid 300.00 a piece at Discount. They've seen east Texas mud and performed just fine. Would have loved to have paid half price for em.

I know this will upset some folks but I don't think the BFG AT's last like they used to plus in a 20" rim sizes they are $400 each. That's why I tried the Nittos and have been very happy

The tread design is very similar to what Im running now, but I didn't want to make any assumptions based on that.

How are they on wet roads? I know some AT and MT tires have a tendency to get very slick when it rains.

I had some on an F250 and they were great. Low noise and they always did good down the national seashore. They seemed to be a bit soft for a 3/4 ton if you are expecting to get more than 40-50k miles. Got rid of the truck before the tires needed to be replaced.

Yeah, my truck is just a half ton, and to me 40K would be more than awesome.
