    Bluebonnets around Brenham

Wife wants to go do to Blue Bell thing tomorrow and get some pictures of our son in some bluebonnets. Any suggestions on a spot with a lot?

Our route will be I-10 to 290 if that helps.

Guess we should have read the part where it said that while the Blue Bell place is OPEN on Saturdays, there are no tours on Saturday, lol.

At least we'll get the bluebonnet pictures!

Just drove through there....what a zoo in Chappell Hill. 15 minute delay on 290 because of cops directing traffic. Tons of people parked on the side of the road taking pictures. You would think they would have some parking spots for them.

No ideas where but they sure were pretty last weekend.

This was near Somerville last weekend on private land.

Sounds like we were there at the same time.

We made the mistake of going 36 through Sealy on the way there this morning. We hit Bellville right as the MS 150 came through town. Then we finally get there and find out there's no Blue Bell tours on Saturdays.

THEN, we eat at Nathan's BBQ for lunch... The A/C was out so we were sweating the whole time.

THEN, we finally find a good out of the way place with bluebonnets (thanks EBH!). I pull out the camera to get a few test shots. Push the button... nothing. Guess who forgot to put the memory card back in? Didn't matter anyway. He was more interested in trying to eat the flowers than have his picture taken. Managed to catch ONE decent one with my phone. Of course, not looking at me.

And one reaching to try and eat them.

I have loved in Brenham my entire life. I have never seen so many wild flowers. Pretty amazing this year.

Awesome shots Jeep! Brenham is on fire with beauty right now!!
Its kinda comical watching the masses attacking the poor trampled blue bonnets at the Washington county line. If they only knew where the good spots are
