    I think solid works would be far better for a sheet metal company. It has the ability to draw a 3d object, tell the system material thickness and it can turn the 3d into a sheet metal flat. It even takes into account the length of material to make the bends.

    Also im pretty sure you can link your drawings into assembly manuals or whatever text you chose. Not just insert an image. So when you change a drawing it will update your manual.

      Solid works. I hate Auto-cad with a passion. I'm using Pro-E now and it is not as easy as SW especially on sheet metal. It takes me all day in Pro to do what I can do in 20 min with SW, and auto cad just won't do it at all.
