    explain this to me.

Bastorp has 2 major 4 lane highways coming into it. what is the idea behind dropping the speed limit to 60mph and putting stop lights every 2 miles???? i spent more time in bastrop city limits than in south austin city limits. that is no exaggeration. went through this man made hell friday evening around 7 and back thorugh around 3 on a sunday.

what is the point of this???

Haha yeah those are some pretty rough times to be coming through our town. At least they got the problem at 71/20 fixed. Now to work on the 95/21/71 nightmare.

i agree that 21/71 is much better but they spent all that time and money on 71 to improve traffic then added stop lights. that killed any progress that they made.

^ ^ ^ ...and probably a realistic safety issue on a busy highway so they put lights for cross traffic.

most of the cross traffic roads lead into town. bastrop has a poplulation of less than 10,000. i dont think that is an issue.

Come to West Texas, make the drive from Big Lake to San Angelo, we need all the request for more lanes and traffic control we can get going in to Austin. btw if you were to do this go by your Dr.s office to get a Valium, it'll help.

Because they want you to see the new Buccees and turn in before you leave town
