    Got a new ride

Elite GT500! 61#/30" draw/394 grain arrow/302fps and quiet as a church mouse and smooooooth as butter. This is straight up the most awesome bow I have shot all year and I've shot all of the big names.

Some of you may remember how livid I was when I picked up my GTO only to find out that the new lineup had been released early. Not that the GTO was a bad bow (obviously I didn't think it was bad, I bought it) but the GT500 had all of the specs I was looking for in my next bow. Well a local dealer who is now a site sponsor offered to trade me straight up my GTO for a GT500 even though I didn't even buy the bow from him! Well, Wes at Murphey's archery called me Saturday and told me the bow was in. Click image for larger version

I couldn't make it in that day because I was in Forney at my daughter's softball tournament. But even though he was closed on Monday, he met me up at the shop to let me shoot both bows side x side to make sure I wanted to trade. He stayed up there for 2 hours and talked with me and set up the bow. Wes, thank you brother, you went way above and beyond.

Now I'm just waiting for my Octane stabilizer and 2 piece quiver to come in.

                      Shweet & great #'s too.

So, how would you describe the draw?
Can you let it down smoothly??

(just askin incase I get the itch any time soon....)

Draw is stiff, loads up quickly but the drops right into the valley. And the back wall is as solid as steel. You can actually relax a little without it wanting to yank your arm off. And yes, I have no problem letting it down slow and smooth.

How does the draw compare to the GTO? I've drawn one of them...
