9 days and 90 hrs of intense medical training. This is something l would highly recommend for those of you that hunt and camp in remote places. The course is based around assessment and stabilization when definitive medical care is hours or days away.
They cover pretty much everything possible. They even teach reducing joints and compound fractures.
My class was through NOLS/WMI.
It has really got me thinking about EMT school. I took to it like a dog on a bone.
It ain't cheap but it is a blast. I've been pondering a career change lately and I think I may have found it.
