    Weight Loss Hypnosis?

Does anyone have experience with weight loss hypnosis? I'd like to hear the pluses and minuses of this controversial treatment. Is it really effective? How long does it last? Do you need to get "updates" for it to keep working? Etc, etc, etc. I'm sure this may be fodder for lots of jokes and comments, but I'd like to keep the discussion serious, if possible. Thanks

I don't know about weight loss, but my mother went to a hypnotist to quit smoking 15 years or so ago. She walked in with a smoke in her hand, spent an hour in the place and never smoked again...

my parents did that back in the late 70's early 80's...didn't work. Nothing will beat good old diet and exercise...boring I know...but proven! Cut out your carbs...you'll be surprised.

I have a friend who quit smoking this way. Not much experience otherwise. Prolly worth a try if its not too expensive.

            Here's an idea....

Eat less move more. Weight loss simplified

Not a shot at you but I honestly can't believe people would spend money on things like that

A good friend and my uncle both quiet smoking by hypnosis. They both tried it for dieting and it didn't work for them

I have no info on the aforementioned hypnosis. However, portion control and walking or jumping rope will do wonders. I am currently trying to lose weight and I am making myself eat less and shrink my stomach. It always works for me until I stretch my stomach out again. Good Luck Buddy!!!

In my opinion: I don't want anyone messing or manipulating my thoughts or mind. No way

I read a article in Men's health about a guy that went in to a hypnotist to gain 20 lbs of muscle after he was unsuccessful on his own.

                            long story short, it worked
