We just started a Bounce House Rental Buisness-----In 5 weeks we have Booked 26 Rentals and have even had to turn people down, and they are not really desired in Winter months so they do not mess with Hunting. The over head cost was not much, and the time vs. $ per hour has been great. Just kiss your weekend good bye. Our Goal is to have the inital Investment Paid in one year then hire some part time workers and sit back and collect. One thing that people spend on are kids and women love to show off at kids parties!!!!

Start looking for used AR 15s that everyone went out and bought and now they are in a bind for money. For $20k you should be able to buy around 40 guns. When the next idiot decides to mess with guns again you could sell every gun for $1500 easy. Turned that $20K into $60k without risk of loosing the $20k.

Loan your money out and just sit home and make money. $1000, pays you back $125.00 month for a year. You just made $500., plenty of people would take you up on it. Stay away from relatives. LOL.

Except most people still think they are worth $1200.

Yep, you can buy them under $800 at CTD. I'm mostly referring to the kit guns showing up on different sites.

I've made just about every mistake you can in business but still would rather work REALLY hard for myself than work around 8 to 5 er's that are just there for a check. I know they are every where it just drives me nuts.
Anyway don't touch your investments. Your just throwing good money away in taxes and penalties. Go to your credit union and do a SB line of credit. Most of them have a five yr payback before it goes to a loan. So for the first yr you can pay the low interest hopefully by yr 2 you can start to pay off what you used.
I'm surprised no one said a window tint company. Low overhead lots of profit.

How did you get started, 1 bounce house, then more as the money rolled in? Word of mouth or did you start an actual business?

Lawn service or pest control. I recommend organic as its better for your health and now pretty effective.

Don't touch your 401K!!! Losing 40-60% of your savings due to early withdraw is not worth it. Find other ways to raise capital if you are intent on starting your own business.

Now for the sobering facts 8 out of 10 small businesses fail in the first 18 months.

Forbes has a good article on it http://www.forbes.com/sites/ericwagn...sinesses-fail/
