I just wanted to update this thread. I have since went to the organic side. I gave away my turf builder. I have went to a monthly regiment of cornmeal and alfalfa pellets. We have been blessed with some decent rains as well. I have been watering one day a week 1". I tried to take photos of the same area as before so you can see the difference. I am still fighting a little bit of horse herb. I spot treated it with spectracide atrazine and it killed it pretty well. It is only in a few places in the shade. The difference has been amazing.

Welcome to organics!!!!! You won't go back! Looks great. Earlier this year I bought a week old 1/2 pallet of Del Mar St Augustine (for 1/2 price) that was brown crusty and dead from King Ranch Turf Grass. I pounded it with water, organic programs and it is green and soft and lush. Hard to believe that it was almost a goner. Organics is the way to go.

Man what an improvement. I need to get the mixture for that organic stuff. I have never been a fan of the granular fertilizers, maybe this is the way I need to. I'll try to get the mixture or recipe and give it a try. Good job and nice lawn.

Medina's Growing Green is what I use. It is idiot proof. Won't burn your lawn and no need to water it in but watering helps it stick. You can throw it down at 3:00pm on a 100 degree day and it won't hurt your lawn or garden.
