Anyone on here work on TV's

I have a 5yr. old 46'' flat screen Phillips tv, the black light went out on it, took to a repair shop and was charged $50.00 to tell me it would be another $350.00 to fix it, since you can get a brand new one for $400.00 I just brought it back home and lost the $50, was wanting to see if anyone on here new how to put a black light in one of these or should I just toss it away.
