    Noah the Movie

If you are a bible believing you will be disappointed with the Noah movie, it was not factual to Genesis 6-9!!! If you are an atheist read previous mentioned chapter and see if the movie is being disrespectful to believers of the Noah story. It added elements of The Hobbit totally disappointing!!!

I hate it when super hero movies don't follow the comics.

I will watch it if for no other reason than the entertainment factor. I don't expect Hollywood to get much right where the Bible is concerned and money is there number one priority.

              Noah the Movie

It's on pace to clear $45 million in its opening weekend. Unfortunately, Son on God only cleared $25 million on its opening weekend and God's not Dead opened at $9.5 million in its opening weekend.

Noah also had huge turnouts in traditional faith based communities, St. lake City, Tahoe, Houston, San Antonio and Orlando and wells as major overseas markets in Catholic areas in Russia and Mexico.

So this movie is getting huge turnouts in Christian populations as well as Non-Believers because of its use of modern day cinematic's.

For a movie that is inherently going to garner criticism if it's not spot on to the word or better yet, the word as you were taught at face value, Noah is dominating the box office in respect to Fait Based movies.

As for being disrespectful or factual to Genesis 6-9, I can't say as I haven't seen the movie yet, but will shortly. I would like to believe that a reimagining of events, especially of God's Wrath, would be portrayed in a way that is respectful and factual. As long as the just of the story is present, the people are believers but are corrupt, the land is trodden with pain and suffering and Yahweh sends a flood to destroy all but 8 human souls and 50,000 animals, I will be content with the movie.

I will enjoy the Nephilim in the form of Rock People. I will enjoy Russell Crowe and I will enjoy Anthony Hopkins. I intend on seeing the movie because I am a believer and regardless of what Glenn Beck had said previously or what Aronofsky believes in his personal life, I believe this movie is Gods work to gather his flock. Remember, another biblical event becomes the human race's reality very soon and by the opening weekend numbers, I Am has been masterful in his efforts. I think we all can agree on that. Coincidence that these types of movies are suddenly becoming more and more mainstream? I think not. There is a message here. I'm loving the controversy. It's making so many people talk about our holy trinity!

I have seen several Christian themed movies during the past ten years or so. I have been disappointed to say the least. It as if the movie producers have realized the potential for profit in Christ's kingdom and are exploiting that marketplace. Even the blockbuster "Passion of Christ" was a big disappointment for the wife and I because it focused on the suffering but stopped short of the glory of victory in His resurection.

The Christian movies of fifty years ago, although kind of hokey by today's standards, were much more true to Biblical content.

The Bible is the greatest story book ever written. God left it open to man's interpretation. Man is a sinner by nature. Not all will read the bible and hear the same things. That is how it was meant to be

or....Because Man is a sinner by nature, he has problems interpreting Scripture correctly.

It is a movie with a script that was never intended to be an interpretation of the Bible. Believers will be disappointed, non believers will be unchanged, and the actors, producers, studios and every one involved with the film will get paid either way.

Personally I think they chose the name of the movie to be Noah, instead of The Flood or something less biblical to draw believers into the theaters. So far their plan is working.

Try not to put too much thought into it, it is a movie with a script.

My wife wants to go see it Monday, so I'll go. I'm not the least bit a Russell Crowe fan....I have put him in the same classification as Alec Baldwin, Charlie Sheen, etc. etc.

Hollywood will never do the bible justice.....it's just not gonna happen. Knowing this, I'll go and try to keep an open mind.

I will probably see it over the next few weeks but expecting any movie to be earth/life/human changing is a stretch at best. Matter of fact, when a movie has a REAL deep impact socially (in a positive way) it is usually a GREAT an welcomed surprise.

1st eight people don't enter the Ark only 6 do! and Cain is number 7 as a stowaway. he kills some of the animals to eat. Noah never talks to God. he drinks a hallucinogenic drink to see if he should really build the Ark. he thinks God wants to end mankind and only save animals. it has strong environmental. connotations. at the end Noah gets the serpents skin back that tempted Eve and Noah is complete. overall it is really a bad movie. its boring although it made me see that Noah's task was really hard and it stressed him badly like the crucifixion did to Jesus. I never really thought about it. I couldn't wait for the movie to be over.
